Default Selling Storm on ebay??/ Trade in

Hey sorry I'm new to this website kind of, been reading for quite some time but just created an account. My BB Storm has been subpar and I wanted to explore a number of options. If I break my storm and get a new one from insurance how easy is it to sell on ebay? Can I just deactivate it and sell it like that? or is it more complicated? Or if I go to verizon and complain about how terrible it acts up could they potentially down grade me to a curve or when the tour comes out maybe provide me with an upgrade with a discounted price? sorry if this is already posted some where but it would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me

You don't have to break it for insurance, you can just tell them you lost it. I'm not condoning doing something illegal cause both are fraud but if you are going to break the law, don't break a good storm. Mail it to me and tell them you lost it.

But I don't know about changing it in, I think I read somewhere if you have a problem with the storm and have to trade it in 3 times, the third will entitle you to exchange it for a comparable device.

Respectfully, you had 30 days after buying it to return it outright or exchange it. Do the right thing. Also, I believe if you "break it" with insurance you would have to turn it in for a replacement, wouldn't be able to keep it outright (?).

Note to 21productionz: what would you do with a Storm that's reported lost (and placed on the blacklist)? Use it for parts?

I would think they would Ban the "lost" one from the network... would only make sense

You would previously unlock it and sell it as GSM ready :-)

    Or... parts.. yes...

The thing is it wouldnt be fraud because it is broken, the screen is pushed in a little to much, the sides have moderately popped out, and there is an absurd amount of dusk under the screen. Overall its functionabilty its not well so I just would like to know what you guys think a verizon rep would do If I complained and complained if they'd just let me replace it with a qwerty BB instead.

That doesn't mean his Storm has been subpar in the first 30 days. Maybe it was working ok and then over time (which we have seen), things started becoming unstable.

To the OP, I say break the SOB!
Who cares which device is better? Isn't all that matters is that it's the best one for you?

My bad. When you said in your fisrt post, "If I break my Storm...", I thought you meant it was not yet broken.

Leaked and official are the exact same thing, hence the same number: .148.

    Definitely use it for parts.

My apologies to the OP didn't know it was already broken.
