Second Storm! Much Better..

OK so after two days of my storm's screen bugging out and not recognizing my fingers position on the screen I went to a verizon store. I explained the problem along with all of the problems Ive had with .328 (dimming problem ect.) The rep asked to attempt to re-create the issues. He could only recreate the dimming issue, my lack of touch on the screen magically fixed itself before going into the store? Nah, just never acts up when Big Brother is watching is more like it.

Needless to say the verizon rep played with my settings for a few minutes and checked my OS and such, then said would you like a replacement? I said yes unless you can upgrade me from this to the Storm 2? He said he could not. Well ok Give me the storm 1 then in working condition.

TO MY SURPRISE the replacement is damn near perfect! The screen click is like butter, the dimming issue is non existent and links in e-mails and BBM work perfectly!!!!

I checked the OS and its the same .328 as the old phone. The verizon rep began to play with the new replacement getting my info switched over and he even said wow this is much nicer. He then handed me his Storm 1 which he had on a pretty sweet holster and said try that.. I played around with some menus and saw what he meant. The click on the screen was like my old one... stiff and unresponsive at the bottom near the send and end keys.

He said " Im going to replace mine on my lunch break". So Long story almost short, I really love the feel of the replacement and am happy that it so far (knock on wood) is problem free!

Found a reason why the second storm click is better. They are now putting adhesive foam half circles under the battery. Similar to the business card and dime trick. But the dimming issue is still fixed! Woot!

Give it time. Its the placebo affect. You will hate it as time goes by..Why? because S1 has huge memory leak problems. It will eventually have a mind of its own and eventually you will want to throw it across the room or stump on it. Hope this one works out for you. It didn't for me and I went through 6. Now have the S2........S1 and S2 are miles apart.
