problem with BB Outlook email - Outlook ignoring emails

Outlook now no longer downloads email from a POP3 email account. The messages are there but Outlook ignores the. I suspect that this is because they are accessed first by BB and marked as read and thus ignored by Outlook. However I can't find a setting in the BB email config to leave messages as unread on the server.

Am I barking up the wrong tree? Has anyone else experienced this?

I recently had to reinstate all email accounts after a handset replacement, but dont rememebr being asked about leaving emails unread at any point. Also Outlook still downloads Gmail quite happily.

Seriously confused...
