Smile No longer addicted to Crack!

Hi, my name is Mr Jerome, and I'm no longer addict to CRACKberry! I have a new drug of choice called DROID! All I know is that once I got DROID, I was no longer addicted. I have no withdrawals, no battery pulls, no night sweats, no clicking sounds when I want to send a txt or email while my wife is sleeping, she would catch me smoking the crack pipe every time but not with DROID! I kicked the habit in 5minutes when it booted up the first time in less than 30 seconds, oh my! I setup my account with google and was on my way to a new life, free of trying to do, when iDROID can.

Oh yea the reception is 3 bars in stead of none in my house, I got rid of the Verizon extender, It is no longer needed!

Good luck with that. From your signature line, it looks like you have a short attention span. I think there's a Droid forum for you.

Three years ago when I got tired of The Treo crap & mishaps, they told me the best phone was the BlackBerry & I jumped for the latest & greatest. Forgot the Treo before I left the store because I wanted was reliability than novelty. I loved the touch screen with the stylist but the track ball soon was my friend. Now three years later after tinkering with BlackBerry, the Droid bought me to the same crossroad once again, I wanted reliability rather than novelty of saying I have a BlackBerry Storm 1 & 2. The Droid just works out of the box, no battery pulling, no waiting 5 minutes to boot, no lag, no memory issues, no bloated app store, no blocking the the Wi-Fi setting only to 27Mbs not the FUL 54Mbs. I'm tired of the games of waiting for an update to fix basic functions. Yes the Storm 2 was better but it's no DROID! I was in line at Verizon on November 21, 2008 on my birthday 2am in the morning to get a Storm 1, what a fool I was, I can't count how many times it rebooted when nothing was going on... Dang it RIM! I was Mr BlackBerry @gmail, yahoo, aim, msn, live, & hotmail, also Mr BlackBerryCurve @ all the services also. I miss them but DROIDOLOGIST is my new handle for a new me pushing an AnDroid phone by Google.

This is my Dear John letter to RIM! Bye!!!

I swapped my storm for the droid and couldn't be happier. The only thing I'll miss is this forum.

I'm also a Crackberry - Curve then Storm. Got mine 11/21/08 also. I've tried to love the Storm, but after 5 FRU's - yes FIVE, and the last one giving me fits, they're allowing me to upgrade before one of my lines is eligible by about 8 weeks. I'll have Droid in hand Wednesday evening and I'm reasonably sure there's no looking back also.

i'm eye balling the eris, upgrade date is xmas...which is good, gives me time to see if there's an announcement about 2.0 support, or another phone that will be available soon that has improved hardware performance and 2.0...but if not, eris AHOY!

the only sacrifice i'll have is battery life. the eris battery is smaller. and i eat the storm battery in like 8 hours, so i'll definately need two or more batteries for the eris. right now i carry two storm batteries anyway.
