Need Help with Storm Screen

Hello,

The screen of my Storm is giving me problems, the bottom part of it is not sensible to touch, meaning I touch it and it doesn't do anything, if I touch the top it works fine. My problem is that I moved out of the US and unlocked the phone to use it locally with another carrier. RIM says that since a VZW phone all warranty or repairs have to be dobe trought VZW. So when I called VZW they say that since I don't have an account open with then and I unlocked it and took it out they can't touch the phone to fix it, not even if I pay for the repair.

So that said my biggest question here is those anyone here knows a person or shop that can fix the phone, beside THE @$$**** from VZW.
