Microphone problems

This is really getting anoying. Atleast twice a day I will be talking on the storm and the other person will not be able to hear me, or they will say I am echoing and sound like I am very far away. I have tried different OS's, no luck. I dont want to send my phone back and get a reman... and it seems odd that it would be hardware since its intermitten. Anyone else have this problem?

I have had the same issue. Have tried every setting change I can think of yet the problem has persisted through three different storms. I think it has to do with how the phone is held in your hand...at least to some degree.

I have the same issue with my phone. The problem did not resolve untill I took the battery out and replaced it - then waiting forever for the phone to boot up. The Verizon people did not have a good answer but said I should take the battery out at least once a week to reboot the phone. Microphone is ok for now - but its only 24hrs after a reboot and new battery.

This is my first blackberry. Any suggestions?

I also have this problem. Whenever I use the Storm as a phone the person on the receiving end complains that the sound is muffled & very difficult to hear. I find myself yelling into the microphone - pretty annoying. Anybody have a real fix?
