I have never understood undying loyalty to a product. I see so many people in this site praising RIM. Really? They put out a half assed product that they don't even stand behind anymore. This phone is like a sad trial run. I am looking for my next purchase. Maybe a droid maybe not. maybe just a bare bones phone that works when I need it. RIM needs to build quality, not quantity.

I absolutely agree. The storm is reliable as long as the hardware and software play nice. But inevitably, that does not last long. I -HIGHLY- recommend something with Android. It is the most solid OS on a phone I have ever seen, again, up against the iPhone which speaks for itself. My droid synced everything between my iCal & Address Book rapidly, and backed it up to my Gmail account. I have three reliable sources of backup in this case, so should anything ever go wrong, you have a couple backups to turn to. This is certainly a quality feature when searching for a product that becomes reliable in all situations.
The HTC Incredible is the fastest phone out there. It's a great buy. However, I am
currently applying mods to my Droid that will enable it to surpass the processing power of the Incredible. The Incredible (stock) clocks at 1GHz. My Droid is at 550mHz, but will soon be 1-1.3GHz.
I'm sure there are hacks out there that speed up the incredible too.
In the case of an emergency of my phone getting totally messed up, I have backups that restore it to a previous working state while on the go. And after restoration, I can boot up properly and sync Calendars, Contacts, and Email with my Gmail account where ever I am (withOUT a computer). If that's not reliability, I don't know what is (obviously besides a fast OS, long lasting battery, good reception, etc.)
Go Android. It rocks.
BTW- I have a brand new 9530 Battery sittin here for ya if you'd like.
