Ok, I took apart the old storm, which was storm #2. This was a refurb.
I put it in here, and my headphone jack worked. Yay. But, it was slow as ****, and the click didn't register half the time.
I looked at it closely when I took it out. I saw what I recognize anywhere: cigarette smoke. That board was so stained it probably added to its weight. God damn.
I put it through my Crest ultrasonic machine for 2 min with distilled water and some Branson EC and put that board in, and I have a working storm.
a) Why the **** are refurb phones put together with boards that have layers of nicotine on them?
b) Why is the headphone jack absolutely, 100% impossible to remove without changing this whole board?
