It drives me crazy.  | Probably because you're leaving GPS aware apps open when you're trying to use Google Maps. If another app has polling control over the GPS chipset in the Storm, Google Maps will not poll it and default back to My Location status.
Also, 5.0.0.328 is prone to bad GPS timeouts with Google Maps sometimes. Update to .419 to fix this.
And while you're at it, update your profile please... it still says you're using a Curve.
