| |  Goodbye Storm what should I get?
Hello everyone,
I had a storm for 3 months. It was my first BB device and did not live up to my expectations at all. I had dropped calls and random resets so I got a replacement two months in. Its been 2 weeks and im back to the same problems, however this time my send and end key are about to fall off totally. I called a VZW rep and explained I no longer wished to have the Storm and want a different device. I am getting the BB Curve instead, do you think I made the right choice? I figured if I was already not having luck with the refurb'd storms i prob. would not get a better one this time and decided the touchscreen lags too much for me to be happy. I still have 2 days until I call to have it replaced for good, as somehow they are switching out my device again. I have to wait for the new refurb storm to come on weds and then ship it back to the warehouse before they will ship me a new phone. Should I have gone with the Tour instead? Im sorry its so confusing..Im just lost and over BBs at this point..HELP!! I would love it.

Go with the Tour instead, IMO.
The biggest difference between the Tour and Curve is the size of the keyboard which is larger on the Curve. The Tour has a redesigned trackball and a nice design.

They probably won't give you a Tour so they are giving you a cheaper phone. The Curve is a good, reliable phone and you will be glad to get the physical keyboard back. Old Technology.

ive had the curve and currently have the storm and i would say try to get a tour if vzw will let you if not the curve was great very reliable all the time and has a stable os

even if my phone was complete **** i would never go to a older phone? that makes no sense in my book...

Uh so you are giving them a Storm and you are getting a Curve? Are you insane? Jesus Christ if you do that deal I will have to hunt you down and slap you in the face to knock sense into you. You are getting hosed royally.

Ok, no disrespect to the OP, but why do people start threads like this and then ask what should they get? Start with a mind of your own. Why would anyone want something that someone suggests. Just go to your local VZW store, browse and play with the phones. Get an idea of what YOU want. Not what everybody else is telling you to get.

Pity you had such a bad experience with the Storm and it makes me wonder what happened to these devices to be in such a bad state ... after dropping mine a few times already there is still no problems with it. I would probably just repeat what was mentioned already, if they'll give you a Tour, get that, otherwise the Curve is pretty sweet still.

to the OP...
don't go back into an outdated curve. You will be dissapointed. If you can get out of the storm, go for the Tour hands down. The Tour is actually the best CDMA blackberry out to date so far, so if you can upgrade to the Tour!
