So Last week I got my first BlackBerry, a Storm 9530. It is with Verizon but I (with the help of this forum) am running 5.0.0.419. The only compaints I have is the lack of quality in some of the apps compared to iPhone apps (like the aim app is not nearly as good etc..) and the dimming problems which are now fixed with the upgrade to the .419 os. I have an iPod touch that I love and after some thought will probably keep. I was considering getting rid of it because I think the Storm's music player is just as good and connects to my in dash dvd reciever like my iPod does making the iPod unneeded in a music player sense. I also like surepress better than the iPod touch screen. Both scroll fluidly and are equally responsive but when it comes to typing, Surepress is just amazing. The only thing keeping me attached to the iPod is the fact that at home with wifi available the iPod is faster and easier to quickly check facebook and to talk on aim. Anyway after all that, I think if I had gotten the Storm 2 the iPod would be sold. I am a very impressed Storm owner. Thanks Guys.

the only reason that I keep my iPod with my tour is to play music in my car, I have a belkin radio transmitter. for the rest I hate Apple, not a day pass without a bug/freeze from my iPod... I'm probably badlucked...

I think if I used more apps I might complain, I had downloaded a bunch just for fun and it got really slow and was out of memory but I deleted them and now with the .419 os and following tips from here it is very fast and I still use the apps I really need. And don't get me wrong the iPod touch has made me a bit of an apple fan but I really just wanted to make it clear that as good as the touch's screen is, surepress is far better for typing accuracy. Oh, one question, is there like a way to 'tab' instead of having to scroll and click the next box you want to fill in.
