Default Don't know what's all the fuss about...

Hello everyone. My name is Tim, and i am addicted to CrackBerry...

Well now thats off my chest, this is my first post on here since I have joined more than a year ago when i found about this site from a fellow Crackberry user. At that time i was heavily on the Curve 8330(?)(Verizon). Loved that phone to death until i had to sell it due to not be able to afford the data plan that came along with it . I then had the LG EnV touch and was very pleased with it but it could never fill that empty spot in my heart that i had for a BB.

So what did i do? Traded my EnV straight up for a lightly used Storm that had been a replacement phone after ladies first Storm gimped out. I had to have a BB again no matter what the cost, and i have always admired and yearned for the Storm despite all the negative feedback.

When i first got it it had the latest official OS(4.7 something I dunno), and wasn't too bad, just took a lot of accommodating to get used to. I then started searching these very forums for ways to improve it and get the very best from it. I upgraded to an unofficial OS 5...230 and was extremely happy with it over the previous. then came the OFFICIAL OS 5.0. WOO WOO!

Have had some minor glitches, but nothing ever to make me hate this beautiful, fine machine of a phone. It has been 4d 44m since my last reset and i am only at -8.0MB! Phone running smooth as KY.

So what's all the fuss about?

I LOVE MY STORM!!!!

The fuss stems from the truth:
This device was rushed to production.

RIM will not admit (publicly) what they did wrong, but.....
-Memory leaks bring this phone to a crawl.
-The phone can exhibit poor behavior or cease to function.
-Quality Control was VERY sporadic at best....to non existent at worse! The many threads are a clear indication

RIM royally fudged this phones inauguration.

This 5.0 OS was not available at launch, nor up until the day when it was finally released...People can be quick to judge.

Personally this (5.0) upgrade stopped me from getting a new phone.
(and it wasn't going to be a Storm 2)
