I am so sick and tired of pulling the battery two and three times a day and of deleting apps to free up what's left of the crummy 128mb that this Storm is gone when the time is up. Droid or IPhone, here I come.

I played with a Droid and the browser is amazingly fast. The GPS is 1000 times quicker than BB Maps or Google maps on the Storm. With the storm it is crawling and almost to a dead stop. I'm hanging on to my storm 1 till most of the quirks and bugs see cleaned up from the Droid. I was up for an early renewal but decided not to get Storm 2 because it is barely an upgrade. Maybe if I hold on longer there will be a 4G device that I will want. IMHO I think RIM hasn't done their part to keep their customers happy with the Storm. Storm 2 was an upgrade but not by much. It still has the 5.0 software that the original Storm has. Yes some hardware changes but not enough for me to drop more money for a slight upgrade. I don't think RIM is working fast enough to keep up with its customer demands and with its competition. I love my Storm which is my first BB but I am slowly growing out of it and looking for another smartphone. If RIM does come out with another touch screen and blows me away with it within the next year or so then I may stay with RIM.

RIM definitly has a lot of work to do with their software but. I really like the Storm. If they don't, you can bet that ill be buying an android powered phone.

I agree so much with what has already been said. The only thing is I'm going to sell my Storm1 instead of destroying it. There seem to be some people out there buying them so why not. People buy cigarettes despite all the warnings and are dying from them. If someone wants to buy my Storm1 I'd be happy to take their money instead shooting it, tossing in a lake, or some other destructive method (although smashing it to pieces and sending it to RIM has run through my mind).

The Storm1 has wasted more hours of my life than I care to calculate. All the OS updates, leaks, hybrids, OS shrinking, keep loaded applications down, striping out whatever I could to keep memory up so the phone wouldn't crash or lag. Loading applications to reboot my phone and monitor the little precious memory. The only thing I will miss is BBM and maybe the SurePress. The Storm2 is a much nicer typing experience, slightly better hardware, but it still suffers from a RIM built OS.

No more BB_Storm4me...it most likely will be a Passion4life. Bye Bye BB - hello Android.

I almost fell for the droid. But that new $350 contract thingy with VZ scared me. I'm happy now with the OS 5.0 but could get better

Well I just ordered a droid tonight, I will keep my S1 until I am sure I want to keep the droid but I can not imagine that!

I see the S1 selling for 125-200 and think it would be crazy (yet tempting) to send it back all broken
