My relationship with my gf is seasoned with ocassional rivalry as any, especially since she owns an iphone.

I like my storm's alarm clock to wake me to music. My gf went to do the same on her iphone.... And found she had to BUY an app to be able to do it. She was annoyed enough when she discivered she couldn't assign mp3's as ringtones, but now this.....

And our storms, gang, could do both since release. Yessir; the blackberry storm rocks!

I am simply trying to improve the morale of the storm community a little. Iphoners can troll away as I am not a mod but I am sure they wils get reported now.

This is an excellent device and the entire storm community should be proud of it and not harassed.

Dude, your storm can do much better! Mine hasn't frozen up since .132... And with .148 most storm owners are free from OS lock up.

If you have upgraded your OS and it is still locking up, go return it!!!! It's an awesome device!!!!

Why even waste time responding to negative statements like that. We can never have a positive thread without some negativity. And whats funny we can't even blame an iphoner its a storm user. WOW. Big ups for at least trying. I saw the title and was like finally a positive thread on the storm, maybe no haterade. That was wishful thinking.

Actually, I love threads like these. I think they make for great reading and good entertainment. Some of the inevitable responses that get posted in them are just so asinine that they are hilarious.

That said, I think that people on both sides of the "argument" are just too sensitive about this stuff.

Actually, I think the morale on the Storm forum--or at least the atmosphere--was much better before. It seems the mods have recently had an internal meeting or something and decided to become heavy-handed lately. This, of course, is perfectly fine... it's their site after all and they can do with it as they see fit. I just personally don't find it as fun to hang out here as I used to.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it excellent, but that is just my opinion. I think it is a decent device. In general, it gets the job done. For my purposes, I wouldn't call the iPhone an excellent phone right now either, though I do think that it is a better phone overall than the Storm. If there was some way to combine the best features and best functionality of each OS/device into one, I'd be so thrilled that I probably would download in my pants.

I for one am thrilled .I love light-hearted humor and jokes as well as the next fellow but the fighting was getting too personal. I was starting to get. PM's too that were hateful.... And while am not so sensitive that they hurt my feelings, they were a waist of my time. Good riddance.

Oh don't worry; with both camps looking at how green the grass is on the other side of the fence, it's inevitable. Stormers want wifi and a pretty OS; iphoners want MMS and push email. And the list does not stop there by a far cry. Both devices, and maybe third party phones (pre?) Will all slowly evolve upwardly and closer together until the products meet in the middle somehow.... Amongst all the fighting.

Who didn't guess ahead of time the humans would eventually interbreed with the silons???
