I think they should put a salary cap on the teams so that the smaller markets can win too!

Go Yanks (and Giants) I wonder if you would want a salary cap if your team had the stability of the Yanks? Don't think so. This will be our first world series win in a long time (if we do it) so it's not all about the salary cap anyway. I never understood how people other than rivals could hate a team. I would cheer for most sports teams except the Eagles and Red Sox and Phillies

The Twins payroll is $62 million and the Yankees is $209 million, the yankees should win and if they don't its due to just terrible management....also A-Rod is not worth what he's paid, he makes more that the whole Florida Marlins!

The Yankees are good for baseball. They pay the small market teams millions in luxury tax, and draw many more fans to their ballparks. Besides, who would everybody hate if they didn't have the Yankees.

Your argument is plain stupid. Salary has nothing to do with Wins in baseball.. Just look at the data, if this was the case the yankees should have won the world series every year for the last decade, but they have not. Look at the teams that have won in the last few years, they had no where near the salary that the yankees have. Guess what also, without the yankees smaller markets teams like Tampa and KS will not be able to survive, except for the money they get from revenue sharing. So you argument about salary cap is plain stupid, and it seems you're just another Yankee hater. Love them or hate them because they actually run an excellent business that make money for baseball. It seems that fans from the teams that lose all the time, should find someone else to blame, like the management of your respective teams. The Yankees organization have NOTHING to do with that...

What bothers me is all the people complaining about the Yankees salary then turn around and get on their knees for the Red Sox when they won. The Red Sox salary was just shy of the Yankees yet no one says a word. The Yankees have an organization committed to winning while some smaller teams are using the money from revenue sharing to line their pockets not improve their teams. Read and educate yourself about ownership and revenue sharing before you blindly hate a well managed winning team.
