Default So Whats Going On With Google ???

It seems that anything I type in no matter what it is I get the offical site links but when I click on them it takes me to random sites that have nothing to do with what I am searching and just in case some of you dont get what Im trying to say:

Ill search somthing like: armor all - Google Search

and Ill hit the first link which is supposed to be the official site and I get this: New Car - New Car Prices & Reviews - Kelley Blue Book

It takes me to kelley blue book are you kidding me!!!
And it does this for almost everything I search it just take to unrelated sites I have no Idea whats going ?

Try to click on the "Cached" version at the end of the link. If it takes you where you want to go then try to clear the cache on your computer and run MalwareBytes and Superantispyware to clean adware and spyware from your computer.

check your hosts file:
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and open it with notepad ... For the vast majority of people, if you have entries in there other than 127.0.0.1, then you have walware.

So let me ask you somthing:

Does it have anything to do with a virus ?
And I say this because I use AVG and I am in the process of a full computer scan because it sent me a message saying that I had a trojan horse downloader virus, and Im trying to get rid of it as we speak.

Ohh and if anyone has any ideas on how to get rid of it that would be great because AVG isnt really giving me an option to fix it.

Yeah every ad I click on google takes me to a link where it wants me to buy somthing and without even touching anything and with the internet browser not being open I get ads that pop up telling me to buy handbags, purses and clothes.

Just opening my computer puts ads on my homescreen.

Go to malwarebytes.org and download the free tool for scanning and fixing. Run that. If it doesn't install or it doesn't fix your issue, the atapi driver file on your Windows has been modified with the malware code to do this. It's part of AntiVirus2010 or AntiVirus2009 malware, which is a ***** to get off manually.

You may need to pull the drive to clean it in another PC.

If its AntiVirus '09 or '10 you have 2 options either format and reinstall or throw it away. I have had luck with malwarebytes on '09, but not on '10. it IS a pain in the a§§ to remove! Had 2 PC's here at work that I needed to rebuild last week because of that. Can we say Thin Clients for all!!

You didn't need to reload them. You should have pulled the drive and cleaned them. Antivirus 2010 also infects the atapi.sys file, which makes it impossible to clean unless you boot via CD and extract a clean copy of the file from media or slave the drive in another system and copy over a good copy of the file. Look at the modified data on the file and you'll see it changes on each bootup.

Trust me, I cleaned up a AV2010 infection... took me a bit to find everything, but I pOwned that beyotch old school style. lol

Actually Antivirus 2009 or 10 is pretty easy to get rid of if you know where to look for all of the crap files and registry entries it installs.
