Smartphone OS Features On Desktop OS...
Smartphones have increased at a breaknet rate in ability, form, function, as well as ease-of-use. I am out of the house for most of the day as a full time employee and college student, and as a result my smartphone has all but replaced my computing needs. I've been an avid Windows user for years, have dabbled around in Linux/Ubuntu my fair share, and am admittedly unexperienced in Mac OS. By the time I get home and hop onto my Dell, I sometimes find the experience lacking.
Since I'm not the only person on CrackBerry glued to a 4 inch touchscreen all day, I suspect I'm not the only one who feels this way. What kind of features would you like to see make the transition from smartphone to desktop? And conversely, what kind of features would you like to see make the jump from desktop to smartphones?
I'll start: Predictive Text. I find it odd that as word prediction becomes more stable on almost every smartphone that this hasn't been implemented into Windows 7 yet. It would be very simple to add, and by holding control and using the arrow buttons you could scroll a list of similar words.
