Default The one thing I love more than geeking out....

So in my free time I love to strum and play guitar...I originally started playing bass about 4 years ago, and I’ve been playing guitar almost exclusively for over the last year now...

But I mostly just play cover stuff...I’ll make a playlist, put it on an iPod or my phone, and plug it into my amp, and play along with the playlist...

I’ve recently tried to create a playlist for EVERY song I know, and then organize it by tuning, for bass and for guitar...it's hard as ****!!! I’ve learned so many songs, I’ve learned, mastered and forgotten a whole bunch already...and what's even worse is I know how to play songs that I’ve never played before...same chord progressions, etc...

But I have a core set of a few songs I ALWAYS play...like my warm up...

For guitar:
Led Zeppelin: Over the Hills and Far Away
Pink Floyd: Wish You Were Here
Otis Redding: Sitting on the Dock of the Bay
Pearl Jam: Yellow Ledbetter
Pearl Jam: Black
Staind: Everything Changes
Alice In Chains: Nutshell
Alice In Chains: Down in A Hole
Led Zeppelin: Ramble On
ZZ Top: La Grange
Led Zeppelin: Gallows Pole
Jimi Hendrix: Hey Joe
Jimi Hendrix: Hear My Train A Comin'
Rolling Stones: Honky Tonk Woman
Jimi Hendrix: Wind Cries Mary

Usually I play something out of those, and just play it through, strumming, warming up...I always have an acoustic guitar nearby...there's three hanging on the wall next to my computer, including a 12 string. Also i've been learning more metal for guitar, trying to increase my variety...you can see i play lots of old classic rock and some bluesy stuff too...messing with different tunings, etc...

For bass:
anything RATM, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, RHCP, Tool, Rush, The Police, Metallica (Cliff 'em all, mostly), Rick James, Jimi Hendrix...I could prolly play a majority of each of those band's catalogs off the top of my head...

If I play it on guitar, I play it on bass, and vice versa.

Alright musicians, let's see a list of songs you jam to!!!

I used to play Bass with my dad a long long time ago. I was ok... not great by any means. It definitely was not my knack.

What's your pin? me and another dude have a guitarist group... join.

And for anything not Standard (I'll play Drop B and Drop C interchangeably unless when playing to play along with something... It's too much to retune every time I wanna play a song), I'll play:
Sirens Song - Parkway Drive
Pandora - Parkway Drive
Carrion - Parkway Drive
Monument - A Day To Remember
A Shot In The Dark - A Day To Remember
Hollow Man - Parkway Drive
The Plot to Bomb the Panhandle - A Day To Remember
Strife (chug chug) - As Blood Runs Black
Blue 42 - Haste The Day
American Love - Haste The Day
Substance - Haste The Day
And some of my own stuff.

In Standard/Drop D or acoustic:
Any Alkaline Trio
Any Blink 182 (give me 3 minutes, I'll figure out the whole song... goes for both bands)
State of Mass. - Dropkick Murphys
I'm Shipping up to Boston - Dropkick Murphys
Master of Puppets - Metallica
Fade To Black - Metallica
Welcome Home - Metallica
Welcome Home - Coheed and Cambria
For Whom The Bell Tolls - Metallica
Paradise City - GnR
Hotel California - Eagles
Simple Man - Lynyrd Skynyrd
Freebird (I can kinda keep up for a little bit of the solo...lol) - Skynyrd
Tuesdays Gone - Skynyrd
Snow - RHCP
Californication - RHCP
Otherside - RHCP
By The Way - RHCP
Cowboys from **** - Pantera
Cemetery Gates - Pantera
I'm Broken - Pantera
Walk - Pantera
One Eight Seven - Senses Fail
Cities and Years - Every Time I Die
We'rewolf - Every Time I Die
Floater - Every Time I Die

If I'm playing and it's not a song or riff I made up, it's bound to be one of those songs lol

JOIN GUITARIST GROUP! we're 4 members strong!
