Need advise gamers!

I have an opportunity to get a PS3 today. I'm not familiar with the value of them though.

This PS3 is 80gb, has 1 wireless, 1 wired controller, Sony Bluetooth headset, Blu-Ray controller, the Dark Knight Blu-Ray, PS3 Network BluRay (Whatever that is), all original paperwork.

He says it hasn't been abused and was only for movies (which is my only need for it)

He wants to trade 7 of my old 360 games that I don't play anymore, and $125 cash.

Sound like a good deal?

There are 3 major things you need to think of, is this an older 80GB PS3? Easiest way to tell is if it has 4 USB ports it is backwards compatible with PS2 games (please note, the original 80GB had the Emotion Engine (the **** used for PS2 games) chip removed and relied solely on software emulation so some games wont work via backwards compatibility)

The other thing you need to think about is the value of your games. I mean if your selling like prestige edition MW2 and like 6 other games id tell him he's [b][/b][b][/b][b][/b][b][/b]in delusional lol. Backwards compatible PS3 do go for a bit (the 60GB more so since they had the EE chip and every game worked) more than a standard PS3 out now.

How bad do you want it? Want to play all your old **** and have a blu-ray player and surf the net from your TV (noted, my berry with Bolt does a better job surfin the net...but i like streaming movies/youtube on my 48 inch bravia since my iMac is a piece of ****) id say do it (again, check for the 4 USB ports and price the games you have used at gamestop or some ****, maybe shave a lil off the top since your not at retail)

The main reason is the Blu Ray player

The most valuable game I'm trading is COD WaW, aside from that, I don't ever play anything else but COD MW2

I'm bored of WaW anyway.

hmm, its not that bad of a deal when you factor the accessories into the picture, and if your only gaming on MW2 id say do it. I personally got a PS3 because of blu-ray and the browser (and that one god forsaken day FFXIV and VII remake come out)

do note, blu-ray players will be dirt cheap very soon, like 100 dollars dirt cheap prolly by next year (maybe even black friday?) but id like to have both because there are games on PS3 that id like to play like God of War 3, MGS4, Gran Turismo, so on and so forth.

BTW i wasnt aware there was a PS3 patch to play PS2 games...because last time i checked they pretty much said if you dont own a PS2 or already BC PS3 you were out of ******* luck

I say go for it.

I own both systems and there are plenty of reasons even beside the blu ray to own a ps3. Good times there, and since you're not losing anything major on the xbox other than gears2 ( i still play the **** out of that game) then it's a pretty decent deal. think about it this way @ 125 + , if you were to buy retail you'd be blowing at least 300 on a ps3 even with a good deal. So for your 6 games, that's almost 200 total. That's a good average of 30-40 per game...way better than gamestop would give you for it.

Definitely worth it the games UT giving up aren't worth much and 125 is decent for a used ps3 even with no backwards compatability but ur not using that anyway and if u want trade in one or two accesories and get a game u want at a discount at gamestop or somethin DO IT I would no doubt
