I know this is pure speculation, but if the Passion does come out in the next few weeks, do you guys think that VZW will throw down a special upgrade offer for it, too? The offer for the Droid and the S2 is great, but I think the Passion will spank them like little schoolgirls.

its just a general upgrade offer....i dont see how they coulldnt honor it with other phones... if i went in and wanted out of my S1 contract and started a new 2 year why would it matter to them if it was a droid, S2, or even a curve or pearl. they are still making the same on the monthly charges.

I thought that you normally can't renew your contract early and that you had to wait the full two (or one) years to upgrade without paying full retail price.

What do you think would be the best method of upgrading to the Passion? Should I unlock my Storm, sell it on Craigslist or eBay and then use that money to cover part of the upgrade fee?
