Ok since I am now looking at the picture on a computer and am able to see more detail (but still as tired, freaking woodpeckers), why did they pull the engine and trans axle in one unit? Admittedly I never worked on such a vehicle but seems kinda odd to me.

you gotta drop the whole subframe with motor and trans to get the engine out of a cadillac with a northstar engine in it

Damn that seems like a retarded design! admittedly you shouldn't have to replace a power plant at all, but talk about jacking up your labor rates
