Today at Verizon Wireless
I was at the Verizon Wireless store trying to return the replacement Storm that they sent me, but I didn't need the replacement so I sent it back.
So I thought I'd share my thoughts on the Storm 2.
I got to play with the Storm 2, and well, was not very impressed with it. The screen feels slightly different, but it's hard to tell if I was clicking on it or not. I set the phones settings to what I have my Storm 1 set to and I was able to type just as fast on it. I don't like how the four bottom buttons are part of the screen, that was probably the one thing that really turned me off to it.
I thought about upgrading to the Storm 2 but now I'm not so sure about it, since it feels like the same exact phone with nothing different. I know that it's got wi-fi, but I would never use it. It's got more memory that I'll never use which I don't understand why they just don't release a patch that combines the application memory with the on board memory.
I know the Motorola Droid and the HTC Droid are coming out in a few days and I'll check them out. One of the Verizon reps said that he tried both of them and liked HTC's droid better than the Motorola, said it was a lot smoother.
I love my Storm 1, it's the best phone and my first Blackberry, but I don't think I'm gonna upgrade to anything newer yet. Maybe the iPhone (with much reluctance and hesitation) if and when that comes to Verizon in the future.
