Default Storm vs.iPhone...Simple Comparison

Ok...so here is the bottom line. I just purchased an iPhone, and after having a Storm I have the simple comparison of the 2.

1. Responsiveness: iPhone:The iPhone was much much more responsive than the Storm. Hands down.

2. Keyboard: iPhoneThe keyboard on the iPhone was much easier to use than the Storm. I got very good at typing on the Storm after getting used to it, but I was used to the iPhone as soon as I picked it up.

3. Email: Storm: Email is much better on the Storm (blackberry) than the iPhone. With the iPhone you have to physically log in to your email service to retrieve your emails. The Storm (blackberry) sends them to you right away.

4. Ease of Use: iPhone: The way tasks are categorized together are very smart. It makes tasks to used on the iPhone simple and with less steps.

On a side note, the speakerphone on the Storm was much better than the speakerphone on the iPhone.

Bottom line....if you rely on your smartphone heavily for email go with the Storm (blackberry). You cannot beat the email system they have on their phones. All other items, the iPhone beats the Storm hands down.

lol, when will these comparisons go away! For every 1 thing the Iphone has on the storm, the same can be said that the storm has something the iphone doesnt. Different phones for different needs! its easy to see neither phone is completely great all around with no drawbacks.

Have both... the Storm ie easier for ME to use and it's easier for ME to type on.

in MY mind the iPhone has three main advantages:

1) It almost NEVER crashes or needs reboots.
2) The Safari web browser is worlds ahead of the BB browser.
3) It does games way better (which I don't care about anyway).

Other than that, I like my Storm better even though it still has a few remaining bugs.

But, that's ME and not YOU!

Typing on the storm two would be significantly easier if it would extend the key being touched above your finger so you can see it before pressing (like the iPhone/iTouch does). I wonder if that would be a relatively easy firmware upgrade. Any other users of both devices agree with this?

I like the storm. I would like a storm 2 just for the memory. The only thing I like about the iphone is tabbed browsing and the apps are endless and usually more in depth. I was recently looking into getting an iphone but I love the way blackberry OS is laid out.

A Storm/iPhone comparison? I've never thought of such a comparison before.

What next? A Storm/Droid comparison?
