Default Storm is no more?

They have pulled it from dot com and all corporate stores and now I can not even get it through my warehouse (I'm a dealer btw). Craziness I tell you! since 5.0 was released for it we haven't been able to keep them instock for $50. Now the only touch bb is the Storm2 (which is great also) but those are at $180 and I feel a lot of customers will shy away from this being as the Storm was selling for only $50. I still have my Storm and love it, why would they get rid of a device that was only on the market for 13 months (actually just shy of 13) after releasing the new operating system that fixed all the problems they were having with the old OS. I understand there were a lot of bad tastes about the Storm for the ease of use on the older OS but since 5.0 I've had no issues and been selling them with confidence finally.

BOO VZW on this move!

I messed around with my friends storm 2. I really wasnt all that impressed with it. my storm 1 was alot more responsive and typing on his was terrible. We need some hacker to crack the security on the storm one so we as a community can rewrite the OS to allow it to use the memory card. Just wishfull thinking.

try this:

Enter your location

it's on there. i did a print screen but it's too big to attach.

maybe it's not available in all locations.

I just got my 3 kids the storm 1 last night at VZW in NC for free. They had the LG Touch and since I had to pay for a data plan figured Id get them something better. They have a sign that the Storm 2 is only 99 now as welland part of another BOGO sale

As much as we would like to... We cant. It is impossible to hack it to do that. This is a move RIM has to make by themselves

I don't see the Storm 1 on the link posted by plkcable either. I did get an email today from Dell Mobility, see the link below, for a Storm 2 for $79.99 for both new and existing customers. It does require a two year contract renewal.

I've been going to a corpo store for almost 2 weeks attempting to get my Storm1 traded in under warranty. Either they would still be in stock and not put away yet, or all gone, and they keep telling me to come back. They had my name on one and someone managed to give that one away. I would just have them ship one, but I'm usually on campus and live alone so It would be a large challenge to be home when the FedEx people show up.

Since I'm on my 7th storm (From camera not working, crazy random reboots, input errors while typing, sometimes to the point where i'm unable to send a message, etc), 4 of them have been within the past month, I brought up a Multi-Fru for the Tour or Storm2, and the rep said she's never heard of Multi-FRU. Then again, the same rep told me that quick-pull will solve all of my problems, including the random reboot issue.. They said I was running out of memory, so i would get an error screen to cause my phone to reboot, although meterberry's logs proved them otherwise.. But oh well, some aren't the smartest.
