Is Storm causing it's own memory loss?
This seems unlikely but hear me out for a minute. Had forgotten about memory loss issues with storm since I went to tour. But now have to deal with them. I installed quick pull and set it to warn me when available memory dropped below 15. Seems like this was happening several times a day so that was a bit of an issue.
I read somewhere that weatherbug was a culprit for this so I removed that and repalced with weather eye and the issue still persisted. I pulled all my apps off and was still happening. I becam obsessive about closing apps and only having the core apps there and opening and closing as I used them. Still memory drain.
Somehow I noticed that Tools was open I had never closed it just sent it to background. Since this was only thing left I started closing it. Lo and behold the memory leak stopped!! Completely stopped.
I added back apps and still keep them closed but have no memory loss. I make sure that I close tools whenever I check memory and have had no memory loss the last 4 days.
Problem solved? How odd would it be that keeping tools open would cause memory drain?
Installed apps:
Poynt
facebook
Ubertwitter
Weathereye
Google sync
Quick pull
Youtube
Slacker
Yahoo Messenger
Pattern lock
** WOW didn't realize I had that much on my storm. And those programs get used frequently too.
