screen blank, but still works

i am using a 9530, unlocked and i am using tmobile with it if it matters, and it also has the most recent updates from blackberry.

ive dropped my phone about a week ago at work on a hard concrete floor. the battery popped out, so i put it back in and it seems to work fine, except the screen would randomly go from dim to bright. it seemed to get better over the next few days, so i didnt worry about it. i dropped my phone on some carpet this morning and again the battery came out. this time when i put it back in, the screen never came on. after playing with it for a few minutes i realized that the screen is just blank, but i can still click the screen and go into menus. i found this out by being able to play my music. should i look at replacing the screen or am i looking at a bigger problem? i can shake the phone and hear something rattling inside of it.
