Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | There is a decent chance, but really probably not anytime soon. I would guess next fall at the absolute earliest.

OS 5 has been in development from .... hmmm lets just say a while ago It is being developed for all 9X devices, as well as the majority of 8X devices.
Just so this doesnt ramble on, DO NOT expect this to land anytime soon. Its no where near deployment... At all for any device.
Also 5 is not being developed with the Storm in mind, as its cross platform. There is no brand new, from the ground up, OS being developed. RIM spent more money that anyone can imagine to develop one of the most secure operating systems ever. Why fix what isnt broken.

He's talking about BB's OS in general. You can't argue with that statement because BB has been known to be the most secured and stable OS on the market. Yes, the Storm has had its hiccups, but its still a secured OS. It just needs work with being fast and stable. Which they are obviously working on right now!

Hey Radio.
Is it entirely possible that 6.0 is in the works in the back of someones mind?
6.0 is as far away as 5.0 is.
Non issue until it even gets remotely close to where it might be relevant. How did all of this talk start?
Only reason I ask is because people will start to expect it tommorow if they keep hearing about it.

Heres my ONLY comment on 6. Dont bother thinking about it. Work on 5 will be around for quite a while right now.

Try and hack the OS, to get it to do what you want. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
