Receiving SMS messages And Identity

Alright, so I understand that you can set attributes for known contacts. Like ring tone, and message chime. And I have my contacts set, and i know it will say the name of which contact is messaging me.

Today, I got a text message from someone who the BB can only identify as a set of numbers, 78573. Is there anyway to trace it? I ask because normally I would be inclined to just delete it, however I have gotten one SMS before from someone using Skype, and that time the sender just showed up as "99999"

I'm going to just delete it anyway.

Update. Recieved another message from the same number, and the message says sorry we didn't receive your response..etc (have not opened it though) Is there a way to block messaged from a number even if BB does not recognize it as a contact on the list?
