pip-berry v5000 theme

I just got a BB storm 2 and downloaded the pip-boy v5000 theme which I love except that when I turn my BB to landscape, there are half inch white lines on the sides of the screen. Has anyone had this problem or could anyone suggest a fix?

I searched online and the only recommended fix was to change the setting from 2 lines to 3, save, and then change it back and save. That didn't help

Only use 5.0 compatible themes. All 4.7 themes leave the white at each end.
