Physical buttons don't respond for 5 seconds / Screen stays on

Looking for a little help as I coudln't find anything about this.

Sometimes when I start to use the phone the 4 buttons don't respond. If I wait about 5 seconds or so they start to work flawlessly. This just started today and hasn't happened before.

Yesterday I updated to Telus V.419 but used the phone a lot last night without any problems.

Also starting this morning the screen will sometimes stay on and not turn off - I have to use it then it might turn off. Sometimes I see the screen turning on by itself (both charging or when not) - it is so random.

Can anyone give any suggestions or ideas why the above might be happening?
