Question Old File Names Showing Up In Media Center

So something strange happened last night... When plugging my BB into my computer I had a hard time getting a connection (could be an issue with my USB port, don't know if it's relevant or not).

Anyway, when I unplugged the phone, it rescanned the media card (I was already on the videos screen) and pulled up all of the video files. Oddly enough, it also pulled up a bunch of old videos that had been deleted MONTHS ago.

None of the older videos would play, but I recognized the file names. If I pull up the properties of the file it lists it as "read only" but I can't uncheck that setting.

The old file names disappeared after a Quickpull, but I don't get where they came from in the first place.

Anyone have any ideas why these old, supposedly deleted, file names are still hanging around somewhere on my BB?

I've searched the media card high and low and can't find any trace of them at this point.

thanks!

As with most computer disks, when you erase or delete a file, it does not actually go away. It is marked as being deleted and that area of the disk can then be over written. This is the principle that allows files to be recovered.
