Media Player volume issues

Okay basically there's two issues at hand:

1. How do I turn off the fade-in at the start of each new song/track? It's just mildy annoying, but still, to have every song fade-in instead of just starting at the normal volume

2. And this is a real issue: I've recently gotten a new Storm (replacement) and installed 5.841 but now whenever I holster my BB or even use the screen for any other option the music suddenly turns to a much lower volume. Are these setting issues or just software errors?
