keyboard help!!!!!

My battery died yesterday and when my phone started back up my screen was on the fritz! At first the screen didn't respond at all for about 30 minutes. Once it started working again I attempted to send a text and only some of the letters were working (the whole middle row of letters will not work)

I didn't drop it
It didn't get water on it

I tried re-starting it a few times and it is the same, I have also removed the battery and let it set out for a while to no avail. I have tried tips online too but when I try to do it, the parts of the screen that I need to select are just like the letters that I simply cannot select (like options--- language---- English---- then the 'save' button simply does not work)

Any suggestions?
