If you use your phone as a PHONE, the Storm is pretty good at that and in fact better. When you start to expand beyond that scope is when the Storm starts falling behind massively due to neglect and shortsightedness on RIMs behalf.
Apps, Apple has RIM beat by a mile but on that note, every IMPORTANT app is nearly on every smartphone platform now (google maps, FB, myspace, pandora, youtube, etc etc)
Media, Apple crushes RIM here beyond a mile. I'll be honest i ******* hate iTunes with a passion not seen since hitler in WWII (yeah, its that strong) but it works, and its intuitive. I can watch the same video on an iphone and on a blackberry from youtube and the quality is just night and day.
Browser, I dont even need to say it, RIM has languishing at the bottom for awhile, and safari is top dog (for the most part) not even comparable
iTunes, the biggest online media retailer on the planet, yeah its integrated with everything on the iphone and has been since day 1 to buy music (lolthatdrm) the berry has nothing remotely similar.
The Storm has its own merits and does things much better than the iPhone does as well, but the leap between some thing is a huge one. I hate itunes and as such will never stoop to an iphone (why i own a Zune HD), but there is no denying the phone works and quite well. As much as we are all haters here (i know i am) if they ever had a CDMA version of the Iphone the Storm section would be a barren wasteland...**** quite a few jumped to the Droid lol
