Default internet connection on BB converted from Verizon to AT&T

Ok. My wonderful son sent me a Verizon Blackberry Storm for my (late) Christmas present, locked. I got an unlock code and successfully completed that step. I followed the directions from the tutorial "how to successfully run your unlocked storm," some steps were not exactly as stated and that could be due to my 2005 HP computer (which has had some upgrades, such as memory), but the phone works and I've made and received calls.

I upgraded my AT&T plan as directed, but am not able to access the internet on the phone. I've looked network connection and it says AT&T edge.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix the internet connection? Do I need to go to an AT&T store to make sure I upgraded my plan to the right one? Or, is it something I've missed in the conversion?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
~Peachy

You need to register the device on AT&T's BIS website: https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=mycingular

Once you do that, the service books will be sent to the device, and the browser icon will show.

I did what you suggested, Heavy, but can you tell me how this all works? Do they send the service books to my phone? Is this a process that might take a few hours or a day or two?

I'm such a newbie! lol!

Thanks

Once the device is registered on the BIS, you can send the service books yourself. Create your account. Once you are logged in, set up the email that you want to receive on the device. Once that is done, on the left hand side, it says help. Click that. Click Send Service Books.

Within a few minutes, it should show up on your device. There should be email folders, and a browser icon.
