If my Storm 1 is borken, can I get Storm 2 from Verizon insurance?

My Storm got some water and it's not responsive anymore. I have insurance. Will I be able to get Storm 2? Has anyone ever done it?

I had the same issue the other day . Phone got wet and stopped working . I dry it out and took it to Verizon and they gave me a refurb while in the store at no cost.

I see a refurb in your future....I'm on my 4th Storm 1. The last time I went in I told them I didn't want this phone anymore and they told me I hadn't filed enough claims yet?!? What a load.

I just looked at my storm1 today and noticed there is a huge crack in the screen. Must've happened last night (I have no idea how). What are my options with Verizon? Anyone have this happen to them?

Usually you only need to file 3 claims and after that they "should" replace with a different model.

You must replace your device 3 times in 90 days to qualify for the multi fru. Vzw will go by policy BUT they will switch you to an s2. I've gotten both my storm lines multi fru'd to s2's.

Multi FRU will have no bearing on a phone that you damage yourself. If you insure a Storm 1 you will get a Storm 1 replacement through your insurance.

Right, this thread got off topic and I was responding to a post and not the thread title. Through insurance you will get the same model but if assurion was out of stock for on the s1 they will send a like device. Also when you go through insurance your replacement devices count will reset and you will have to go through assurion if any issues come up UNLESS vzw slips up and replaces it.
