how do you keep the number pad up on text?

how do you keep the number pad up when your texting you have to keep hitting the 123 key thats getting on my nurves

Press and hold the key that activates that display and it will lock it open until you press to switch back to letters.

when you hold any of the keys, like 'sym' 'aA' or '!?123' it locks it

Wow!!! Ive had my OG Storm for solid 2 years and was so frustrated with this...finally decited to look it up and bam! Im soooooooo happy right now, and feeling really dumb. thanks for this.

I was able to do this prior, but cannot do this now on my torch.
Any suggestions?
