Default Does Verizon CSR's even attempt to try anymore?

I went in on Monday to get my storm looked at, because of repeated random reboots, a memory leak I can't get rid of, and getting a message to delete an application even though there's plenty of room, etc.. You all know the majority of the errors.

Well, they tell me they don't have any in stock before they even look at my phone, and to come back Tuesday morning because they get a shipment in, and they will look at it for me. I got in today around 4-5ish, because I figured they would take a little bit of time to put everything away. I go in, start to explain the problems, the girl looks at my phone and asks if I'm running 5.0 (After I explained I reinstalled .328 numerous time), And I said "I just said I was?" she looks at the storm, said "Wow, your service is really bad in here. I'll go grab you a refurb storm." 5 minutes later she comes back and said they have one in stock, but its not put away yet, and tells me she can order one to me, or I can come back on Wednesday and she'll make sure they have one set aside for me.

That's great and all, but what was so hard about pulling one out of a box for me then? I know they are busy, but sending their customers back 3 days in a row to get their phone replaced is a little ridiculous. Why would I not be surprised if I go in today (Wed) to see that there isn't any left over, and have to wait a week, order one, or drive to another store just to get a simple replacement.

/rant.

Yea the stores are really hit or miss, I was just in the one by my college the day after just getting another refurb storm after it developed java errors and made my browser disappear (along with the random reboots and all the other problems). I asked about their exchange policy for a different phone (i was trying to turn in my third storm) and he pretyt much said sorry go away.

this is one reason i always have 'em fedex me the phone, that and it's easier to do the device switch wizard than to restore and have to re-DL all of my apps.

Last week a technician let me walk out of the store with a totally non-functional phone with the instructions to try the *228 programming again in a few hours...never mind I'd told him repeatedly I'd already tried that for 2 days from home. He didn't know what to do and didn't want to deal with it. (and yes, the phone was still under warranty, so I still don't know what his issue was). People...every business is just as likely as another to hire a moron.
