Blackberry Storm 9500 won't turn on/fuzzy colored pixel screen
Hi,
So yesterday my phone was working perfectly normal. It has the usual glitching of turning off at times, for which I do a battery pull, but I have learned to live with it. So yesterday when I took the phone out of my pocket, it was off. I did the usual battery pull and tried turning it on. The screen was black but there was a backlight or something because the four keys at the bottom were lit up. Then, the screen got filled with fuzzy colorful pixels. I understand that some people have seen this happen before to their screen, but after searching all over the internet, I can't find anyone in my situation.
The screen stays fuzzy and the phone doesn't turn on at all. If i hold the red call button, it turns off. If I keep holding it, it turns on and goes to the fuzzy screen. No matter how many battery pulls I do, this still happens.
So a few hours after this happened yesterday, I tried turning it on again. After showing me a fuzzy screen for a few minutes, it showed me the screen where I have to put in my sim pin. I did this and my phone was up and running. Then, it turned off again. The same thing happened with the fuzzy screen and I only got it to turn on again last night. However, it crashed after a few minutes.
I don't really understand the problem, its only 2 months old! This afternoon I was looking at the fuzzy screen and I pressed the screen a million times until, slowly, my sim pin screen came up. When I pressed the screen again, nothing happened, until it eventually crashed again. When I put my sim in another phone, I had to call Vodafone for my PUK code because apparently I had mistyped my pin 3 times. That means that even though the screen was fuzzy, as I was clicking away trying to get it to work, I was actually typing something?
Someone please help!
Thanks in advance
ps. Last night I connected the phone to my computer (mac) and ran the Blackberry Desktop Manager. I reinstalled my current device software while the screen was fuzzy, and the install worked, although the phone still shows me the fuzzy screen...
