blackberry bis not working ?

hello CB community. so on Sunday i went over to best buy to upgrade a different phone on my line. but they were not do for upgrade so they used my line. and he said he had to do a hardware swap to make it work so i said that was. fine so after they finished the upgrade process they called my phone to make sure everything was working and that worked so i did not think that everything would be wrong. until i got home and went to get on the web on my BB and i greeted with a nice error message. thats when i discovered that i was sitting at 1xev and not 1XEV. so i went over to verizon last night spent 2 hrs talking to the tech. who was very impressed with my bb knowledge

. and he could not fix the problem so he got on the phone and called RIM and after a hour talking to them they said the bis server was down. but every else that i know that has a blackberry on verizon is working fine. so i thinking that i have been played. is anyone else having issues for verizon in upstate ny. or should i go back to bestbuy yell at the guy and make him fix my phone or replace it. thanks
