Default Anyone Able To Help?

I am new to this forum and I don't mean to sound like a newbie. I've done iPhone jailbreaking since the iPhone 2G was first hacked. I understand that using my iPhone's SIM card will not give me data options but is supposed to still provide phone and SMS/MMS features. My unlocked Storm 9530 is recognizing the AT&T SIM but is not giving me any access to the primary cellular features. I call and get sent to Verizon auto-message. I have attempted test SMS to and from the phone and received none of them. I followed the first post of this thread,http://forums.crackberry.com/f135/...m-95xx-107154/, exactly, icons now display AT&T apps but like I said phone and SIM are not cooperating. Any suggestions on a fix?

On the phone go to Options>Global network and be sure it is set to GSM/UMTS.

Thanks a bunch. That was such a simple thing I overlooked. It works now. Thanks again. Now I can use the Storm as my iPhone's backup during vacations.
