Volume control not working after upgrade

Has anyone experienced this and does anyone have suggestions?
After upgrading to the new official upgrade I can no longer adjust the music volume. When I go to the toggle convenience key it only moves to the next or last song. Occasionally, (once or twice) the slider graphic for volume shows up but can't affect it. This is true for the songs on my SD card as well as the ones on my system memory. I've tried rebooting (battery pulls) to no avail.
I can't check it for Slacker because I now need a password and cant remember it and am having difficulty connecting with them to get a new one. I also lost the functioality of the NPR shortcut. All and all I'm quite happy with the upgrade though. Most of all glad that the camera works faster. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've noticed the same thing with Pandora and flycast. Sometimes it controls volume and sometimes it skips the song. I thought I was going crazy.

I've had this too. I've been looking for a fix here on the boards, but I also haven't seen anything. I hate it because that's one of the primary things I use my Storm for is music, through my preloaded music and Slacker. Slacker hasn't given me any problems yet, but I bet it will soon enough.

I was having the same problem too, I updated slacker radio and the problem was solved..

When all else fails, I read the directions. I learned that if you just tap the volume control it will adjust the volume, but if you push or hold down the volume control it will skip to the next song. So I tried it and it worked perfectly. Just a quick tap adjusted the volume and if I pushed harder on the button and held it for more than a quick second I skipped to the next song. Try it.
