Verizon Storm 9530 in FINLAND

Hello there!

I'm new with BB's. I just bought Verizon model of Storm 9530. I think at someones has been unlocked it, because it's working with finnish SIM. Version is 4.7.0.148 (platform 4.0.0.181). Is it wise to update it? Can i then get web and mms? Can i use these directions to unlock it again?

Once a phone is unlocked it's unlocked. You do not have to unlock it again.
What carrier are you with? There might be some special steps you have to take to get web and mms working.

I would definetely upgrade from 4.7.0.148

Daughter use SAUNALAHTI here in finland. Is there instructions for email and mms. Not specific to our carrier, but some info do those. I try to update phone yesterday with BB software, there's at least one newer firmware, but there's asterix with comment at that's not for everyone. I bought unlock code yesterday to be sure at i can unlock cell. I use iphone, so i thought at i have to unlock it everytime. Can i get site for firmwares and some instructions? I try to search here too, but sooooo much information. Thank You again!

OP why not just get a BB that your carrier supports? I may never understand why people try to do this.

You're also going to need service books, you can try reading this to see if your carrier has something similar

I think in my case reason is: there's no carrier/seller to BB in finland....

This might be a problem then. If there is no carrier/seller you might not be able to connect to BlackBerry's BIS which is needed for e-mail. No carrier would mean no service books. Someone jump in and correct me if i'm wrong here.

Yeah, i think so too. Thanks for everyone for answers . I try to several times to update cell, with apploader and desktop manager. I allways get this notice: Only active BB subscribers are entitled to install this upgrade. I can only downgrade.... Any help?
