Uncaught exception: java.lang.outofmemoryerror

My phone keeps locking up and when it boots back up, which takes three times as long now, it stays on the blackberry screen with the bar at the bottom for ten minutes, then the verizon wireless screen comes up, and stays there for another 10 minutes, and when it boots up finally, it says uncaught exception: java.lang.outofmemoryerror. The problem is that i have TONS of memory left. Now my phone wont running 10 minutes and it locks up, and i have to do a battery pull and wait another 20-30minutes for it to boot up. HELP, anyone else have this problem, and what do i do??

When you have: Uncaught exception: java. That means there is/are application(s) in your BB that is not compatible with the OS that you have. Maybe that is an application you downloaded recently. Anyway delete those application(s), reboot and after that you will be ok. Feel free to pin me if you want.

I have not recently downloaded any apps on my phone....and I am having the same problem, but I am getting 3-4 of the uncaught exceptions on my screen. And It is constantly refreshing......I basically can't do anything with my phone......HELP

I've been having the same problem.

It's pissing me off when I get a phone call and try to answer it and my phone is locked up.

First I would see if anything is running in the background that shouldn't be (hold down the BB button.) I also remember someone suggesting to clear the cache in the browser. (brower-options-cache operations)

Also Yogi's answer seems a likely issue. You may not have loaded anything but did you upgrade or change your OS? That could cause a third party app to freak out.

I woke up to this message this morning. The only thing new on my BB is the Facebook v1.8 udpate. Just did a battery pull, we'll see what happens.
