Default Unable to go on Browser webpages?

To be a little more specific. I recently got the unlimited browser plan and I was wonderinf I wasn't able to access certain pages because of this "XML" error. Is that the Vendor.xml that I need in order to access certain sites? Because I am with Telus they're not upto date on the os .148 and I am currently using that one with the vendor.xml deleted.

Could this be the problem to my reason to be unable to go to certain webpages like YouTube?

    Default Telus ???

Is it telus's fault ? What would happen if we relaoded the old OS, did the update, left the vendor.xml, then fired up browser ?

The vendor.xml file does not effect your browser. Rather it tells the app loader which os to load.

As for your browser issues, it depends on the page, some pages simply is not supported by the rim browser. (that is why some sites have the mobile version)

Try using opera or bolt to get a desktop quality browsing experience.

    Try this:

Options - Advanced Options - Host Routing Table - [BB button] - Register Now. Wait until you get a message about the registration, then try again. Make sure you used the web browser (black and white), and not the Telus Web (the green one).

If it still fail, give Telus DNA a call: 1-866-771-7292 They are great people.

    Default Web PAges

It doesn't matter what webpage I try I can't get any webpage (youtube, google, anything). Is it because I deleted the vendor.xml before I installed the .148 software on PC ?
And I tried that "register now" fix, still getting, "XML not well formed"

WELL SH*T... Sure feel like a ****** now, I tried actually typing in websites and they seem to work but quicklinks before weren't working > *smack upside my head*

bat pull is your friend. sometimes the old girl needs to get a fresh start. try that first before anything else. and no it is NOT because of the deleted vendor.xml file.

the vendor.xml does not effect any functionality of your storm. as roger said look at the mobile version of the website to see if it works.

    Default Everythings ZEN

Did the bat pull originally, the mobile web page was the key, the quick link for whatever reason was messing me up.

Got another question, when I transferred data from my curve to my storm (dropped curve in toilet). All data cmae thru fine but it seems like the e-mail account that got transferred never registered properly, not getting any incoming or outgoing. Any ideas ???

go to your operator's BIS site, login and update your pin. Everything should be smooth sailing from there. If you happen to forget the login, give tech support a call and they'll be able to help you. (the forgot username on the site won't work since it'll sent the info to your old phone)

Don't see a place where I can update pin. I logged in with my storm, it has my e-mail there but I don't see a place to update PIN. I removed and re-added e-mail and it worked. Can now compose and recieve e-mails. Thanks all !
