Trouble updating OS on storm 9530 OTA

I'm currently using OS 5.0.323 with Verizon and have noticed an official OS update to 5.0.0.724. When I go to advanced options and select wireless update it replies with an error message stating unable check for update. I've tried deleting than undeleting provisioning ota in the service book but it did not help. My laptop is down so desk top manager is not an option. Can anyone offer some assistance???

I'd be wary of OTA update on Storm. Too many things can go wrong.

All of my updates have done by downloading the ROM file and following the excellent instructions in these forums on side loading ROM from PC.

Well, you are on Verizon, and the last 'official' update available for the 9530 on verizon is 5.0.0.328
So, you are not going to get anything newer with an OTA update while on verizon. If you want to install anything else, you will have to use desktop manager.

Also version 5.0.0.866 is available for the 9530 see Latest Official 9530 OS 5.0.0.866 from SaskTel
