Great writeup on the issue. I'm pretty sure I opened the original ticket on this with RIM a while ago, and I spent an inordinate amount of time documenting and reproducing it on multiple devices.
I tested it on an 8330, 8820, 8900, 9000, 9530 and a 9630 running different combinations of official and leaked OS releases.
I first noticed it on my Tour running the stock 4.7.1.40, and then on my Storm when I installed 4.7.0.151 from Iusacell. It wasn't present in 4.7.0.148, or any current builds of 4.6.0.x or 4.6.1.x that I tested at the time. The bug was, and continues, to exist on the current leaked builds of OS 5.0. I don't have 4.7.0.x on my Storm anymore, but it was still an issue with 4.7.0.167.
As far as I can tell any released device running a released or leaked OS newer/equal than 4.7.0.151 has the bug.
I'm not sure why people are dancing around the name of the "security vendor" in question, RSA is aware of the bug and has publicly acknowledged it.

I test for the bug by installing version 3.0.2 of the RSA SecurID soft token application and then sending a plaintext message with an attachment to my BES-enabled email address. If the bug still exists the email will arrive with a text/plain attachment instead of the body. The text/plain attachment will not be included in the attachment count.
