Storm Shutdown
I am sure this has been posted many times but my Storm just shuts down on average 2-3 times per day. I do not have any Apps loaded and the battery is fully charged? Is this just something I need to live with with this product? If so why is it sold by Verizon and everyone with this and other "bugs" - I feel like telling them they owe me an upgrade when Storm II comes out or at least an upgrade for an upgrade price - it is only fair - as it seems like false advertising! Kinda like Microsoft "Vista"!!

You should exchange your device for a replacement.
No, you shouldn't have to live with this.
Mine has never done this, been using the same Storm since I got it 7 months ago.Storm 9530 - 5.0.0.328 - 07-07-2009, 10:32 AM #5
Here's a link to wiping and reloading:

I would also make sure that you do not install your 3rd party apps right away. It could be that one of them is causing your random reboots. Try running the phone for a couple of days with no extra apps installed (after reinstalling your OS). Then add them back on one at a time, preferably from a fresh download. It would probably be a good idea to tell us what apps you have added. Maybe someone will recognize an app as one that is known to cause problems.Semper Fi - 07-07-2009, 10:52 AM

Any resolve to this? I support blackberries here at work and my company has been issuing them unfortunately but he keeps in in the holster and pulls it out and it's completely shutdown alot of times.
