Storm/Modem/Xbox360?
Ok, maybe I'm retard3d... but I am 100%positive that I have seen a way to use your storm as a modem and help increase wifi connection on your Xbox360. Does anyone know what I am talking about?
If so, please help me accomplish this!
Thank youRugby~3.6.09---I'll never forget you

im pretty positive you can't use wifi on the 9530 storm, and the only modem connection i kno of is to a computer, and that's only with the VZAccess software. so i dont think you can use it for the XBox, if im wrong someone else will answer

You don't need VZWaccess software to use the Storm as a modem. The problem would be the modem drivers on the Xbox. I don't know anything about hacking an Xbox but I suspect it might be possible, heck I don't even know if the Xbox has USB ports so why am I chiming in LOL.

This is actually very easy, as long as you have tethering. Just remember, if your on a BIS account, you can hit a 5 gig cap fast over xbox live.
Disable DHCP on your home router so the router does not give out an ip address to your computer or Xbox.
Connect to VZ Access, and using ICS in windows, you can share out the connection from VZ Access to give each box an ip address.
Turn on your xbox, and make sure in your network settings, its set to DHCP. Test it, and it should work.
Your all set! Just remember latency is always worse over wireless, but I did try this myself and its really not bad at all.
Just dont host any public matches, its not fair to others.

i use my windows mobile phone to play xbox live all the time. The issue with the storm is that is currently no blackberry tethering software that supports udp. UDP is what you need to for xbox live to run. Vzacess supports it but you have the 5gig cap.

No high speed internet? That is sad. You can tether your blackberry to your desk/laptop. Go network connections... Set it to allow sharing. Plug the RJ45 from our computer to your xbox..done.

I bridged my connection from laptop. To ps3. Using vzw tethering and it actually does work very very well. No lag or nothing. Pretty impressed. So I know you can do it with a PS3. Don't know for sure about a 360. I would. Assume it would work though. As mentioned ,be careful as it is pretty easy to go over your 5 gb cap. But you can play for a lot of hours before you reach 5gb

You should have a really strong connection if you are going to host matches. Otherwise you'll have a laggy match. And that's the worst.
