Storm isn't scrolling properly

help me please. my storm isnt acting right when i scroll through messages. It highlights like 5 messages at a time and i know im only using one finger. please help i am running .122 os should i downgrade then upgrade again or what

My storm has recently had this problem where it selects multiple messages when im trying to scroll. im using one finger and there IS a little dust under the screen. the screen settings are on default and im so lost what to do please help!

Try adjusting the touch screen settings, start with hover period. You can get to this by going to Options> Screen/Keyboard.

Did you try a battery pull? With the phone on, remove the battery, wait a few seconds and replace the battery.

Your sure you don't have one finger on the top message when you try to scroll? That's the only thing I can think of. I know you said you're sure, but even if you're faintly touching the screen it'll do it.

ive already messed with the settings. they are the default settings.

I noticed this problem with that OS as well. you're not doing anything wrong it's the OS. Try the latest .132 or go back to .113.

Sometimes the touchscreen senses your finger in the wrong place. Sometimes I've tried touching one side of the screen and it shows up two blocks to the right on the home screen.

Then you go into messages and it almost performs a copy/paste style selection on your emails. Maybe that is what's happening. It's usually fixed on my end by locking then unlocking a few times.

Derek, I suggested a battery pull because that's normally the 1st line of defense but since that didn't work, I'm sorry I can't be of any help.

I don't have a Storm and don't want to steer you down the wrong path. Whether you should upgrade the OS, I have no idea. Hopefully some knowledgeable Storm owners can help you out.
